I've experienced a similar pause on my ballroom dance journey. First the pandemic, then I moved clear across the country, and currently all ballroom funds are redirected toward taking care of the 120-year old house I'm now living in. And then there's the weight gain...I try not to think about whether I still fit into the competition dress I bought right before the pandemic and never got to wear.
